Our staff is primarily made up of firefighters, captains and chiefs - but we also have a few EMTs and Paramedics bouncing around. Our team is dedicated to helping you on your path. Chad Witfill,

Chad has 16 years experience in the Fire industry blended with over a decade of executive leadership and strategy execution. Chad attended San Jacinto College studying Fire Science. Chad has been on multiple departments including Pasadena VFD, Brazos County District #2 and Burnet VFD. Additionally serving as part of multiple emergency response units on the industrial sector. Specializing in High Angle rope rescue. Chad holds several certificates through Pro board, SFFMA and TCFP.
Lonnie Bozeman,

Lonnie brings nearly two decades of building highly engaged strategic teams across multiple industries as a business professional. In recent years Lonnie has participated in supporting roles in technical rescue with Texas Search and Rescue and as a Fire Fighter certified through SFFMA in a volunteer capacity.

Derrick Curtis,
Director of Training
Derrick Curtis brings 18 years of Fire service ranging from volunteer to municipal and industrial, a graduate from Texas A&M University’s Mays Business School program for Excellence, Fire Service Chief Executive Officer (2020), and the State Firefighters’ and Fire Marshall Association of Texas Fire Chief program (2016). Currently holds numerous TCFP and SFFMA certifications, along with 2 associate degree, one in Fire Service Administration, and one in Fire Protection and Safety. Vast knowledge in ESD and fire department operations. Derrick also serve as the president of his local fire chiefs association.
Zach Harrel,
Training Coordinator
Zach brings five years of experience in the fire service in both volunteer & career departments. He currently holds the rank of Field Medical Officer at a career fire department as well as Captain at a volunteer fire department. Zach also fills the rolls of Assistant Administrator, Training Officer, and SFFMA Certification Coordinator at the same volunteer fire department. Additionally, Zach is Board Secretary of his local County Emergency Services Association.
He is a Certified Paramedic and is working on completing an Associates degree in EMS after which he plans to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Service Administration. Zach is an Intermediate Structural Firefighter and holds certification in Fire Officer II, Hazmat Incident Commander, Driver Operator Pumper, Driver Operator Aerial, Incident Safety Officer and Fire Inspector. Zach is also a TIFMAS Engine Boss Trainee and participated in statewide and national deployments through the Texas Intrastate Fire Mutual Aid Service.
